Delete your Tail-O account.
You can delete your Tail-O account and its data at any time, right here on this page. You don’t need the app. Deleting is permanent and can’t be undone.
Three ways to delete it
- Here, now (no app needed): sign in below with the mobile number or email on your account, then confirm.
- In the Tail-O app: open the menu on Home, then Profile → Delete account.
- Ask us: email info@tail-o.app with the subject “Delete my Tail-O account”, from the email address on your account (or tell us the mobile number on it). We delete it as soon as we’ve confirmed it’s you, the same day we hear from you.
What is deleted
- Your pets and everything about them: profiles, photos, health records (vaccinations, medicines, vet visits, weight, allergies, documents), walks and reminders
- Their Tail-O IDs and pendants: QR codes, scans, finder reports, sightings, lost reports and neighbour alerts sent
- Care Sessions and visit passes, and the records professionals added in them
- Your Missing Pet Alerts membership (pincode and location)
- Your saved addresses, cart, notifications and push-notification registrations
- Your Tail-O Points balance and history
- Your name, email address, mobile number and sign-in details. Your login is closed permanently
Deletion happens straight away when you confirm.
What is kept, and why
- Past orders, invoices, returns and support tickets are kept for 6 years for tax, accounting and consumer-law records, with your name and contact details removed from your account. After that they are deleted.
- Pendants you bought stay deactivated: scanning one shows that the Tail-O ID is not available.
Only want to delete some of your data?
- A pet and all its records: in the app, open the pet’s profile, tap … then Remove.
- A single record: open it in Health records and delete it.
- Missing Pet Alerts: tap Leave on your account page.
- A pendant or QR tag: in the app, Tail-O ID → Revoke this tag.
- Addresses: in the app, menu → Addresses.
